Ingredients
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 500 ml (2 cups) orange juice
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) honey
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) soy sauce
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) rice vinegar
- 500 ml (2 cups) snow peas
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) sugar
- 5 ml (1 tsp) Sriracha hot sauce
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) sesame oil
- 600 gr (20 ½ oz) flank steak, cut into thin 1/4’’ strips
- 90 ml (6 tbsp) cornstarch
- Qs canola oil
- 4 servings cooked rice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a hot skillet, brown the onion in a little oil of canola, 2 minutes.
- Add the garlic, orange juice, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, snow peas, sugar, hot sauce, sesame oil and cook for another 3 minutes, stirring. The sauce will thicken slightly. Check the seasoning.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, add salt, pepper, then add the cornstarch to coat the beef strips.
- In a frying pan, in 1” of hot canola oil, brown the meat for 2 minutes, until golden brown.
- In the prepared mixture, add the meat strips.
- Serve with rice.
