SALMON BONBON WITH MAPLE SYRUP AND SAUTÉED RICE
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking : 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) miso
- 120 ml (8 tablespoons) maple syrup
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 salmon steaks, cut in 2
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 red peppers, julienned
- 250 ml (1 cup) frozen peas
- 4 portions cooked rice
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) Sambal Oelek chili paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine miso, maple syrup, olive oil and garlic.
- In a hot frying pan, sear the salmon steaks in a little oil for 2 minutes on each side.
- Reduce the heat and add the prepared mixture to the salmon to coat the pieces, continuing to cook for a further 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the onion, red peppers and peas for 2 minutes.
- Add the rice, Sambal Oelek and stir. Check the seasoning.
- Serve the salmon with the prepared sautéed rice.
