Mushroom skewers

Serves : 4

Preparation and marinating: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 120 ml (8 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) horseradish
  • 2 thyme sprigs, leaves removed
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • 1 red onion, quartered
  • 8 Oyster King mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat barbecue to maximum heat
  2. In a bowl, combine oil, horseradish, thyme, sugar, garlic and lemon juice.
  3. Add onion and mushrooms and marinate for 5 minutes.
  4. Alternate slices of mushroom and onion on skewers.
  5. Place skewers on barbecue grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper.
