Decadent burger

Ingredients

  • 4 Quebec ground beef patties
  • 4 cubes cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices chorizo or capicollo or salami
  • 4 burger buns
  • 250 ml (1 cup) cheddar cheese, grated, divided into 4 portions
  • 4 to 8 slices tomato
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Insert a cube of cheddar cheese into each meat patty.
  2. In a hot pan or on the grill, sear and cook the meat until desired doneness. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. At the same time, in a hot frying pan, sear the chorizo for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Set aside.
  4. Toast the bread.
  5. Meanwhile, in a hot frying pan, place 1 portion of grated cheese, allow to melt and become crispy, turn over and set aside. Repeat for the remaining portions, to make 4 cheese tiles.
  6. Top each burger bun with a meat patty, a cheese tile, 2 tomato slices, a lettuce leaf and 2 chorizo slices.
  7. Serve with fries.
