Calzone with Italian sausages

CALZONE WITH ITALIAN SAUSAGE

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 20 minutes - Cooking time : 11 to 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough ball
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) tomato sauce
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) homemade béchamel sauce
  • 250 ml (1 cup) cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 mild or hot Italian sausages, thinly sliced
  • 1 pinch herbes de Provence blend

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 290°C (550°F) (pizza stone in oven).
  2. In a hot skillet, brown sausages until colored and crisp.
  3. Roll out pizza dough on work surface.
  4. On half the dough, spread the tomato sauce, béchamel sauce, cheese, sausage slices and herbes de Provence.
  5. Fold the dough over itself to form a large turnover.
  6. Place the turnover on a pizza tray and bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
