Dark chocolate oatmeal cookies

Ingredients

  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) butter
  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) sugar
  • 250 ml (1 cup) brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 ml (1/2 tsp.) natural vanilla extract
  • 250 ml (1 cup) flour
  • 8 ml (1/2 tbsp) baking powder
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 250 ml (1 cup) rolled oats
  • 125 ml (½ cup) Barry Ocoa Cacao chocolate, chopped

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together butter, sugar and brown sugar.
  3. Add the egg, salt and baking powder, then the flour and oats.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Form balls of uniform size.
  6. On an ovenproof tray lined with a silicone mat, place the dough pieces, flattening them slightly with the palm of your hand, and bake for 12 minutes.
  7. Cool on a cooling rack.
