WITCH'S FINGER COOKIES
Terrifying recipe for witch's finger cookies. Perfect for Halloween.
Yield : 12 - Preparation : 20 minutes - Cooking : 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 250 g (9 oz) sifted flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 125 gr (4 1/2 oz) powdered sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 45 ml (3 tbsp.) cold water
- 1 egg, yolk
- 125 gr (4 1/2 oz) butter, cubed
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) vanilla extract
- 1 orange, zest
- 12 almonds
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) strawberry jam
PREPARATION

In the bowl of a food processor or with a whisk, combine the flour, salt and sugar, then add the water, egg, butter, zest and vanilla, until the dough forms a ball and doesn't stick together.

Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).

Cut dough into finger-sized balls.

To make the nail, add 1 almond to the end of each roll.

Shape into phalanges.

Place dough pieces on a silicone-coated baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

Leave to cool.

Dip the end that doesn't have the almond in the strawberry jam.
