GRILLED PORK CHOPS WITH LEMON AND MAPLE

Ingredients
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) maple syrup
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 sprig thyme, leaves removed
- 4 Québec pork chops
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
- 1 lemon, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven to broil.
- In a bowl, combine maple syrup, garlic and thyme.
- In a hot skillet, sear chops coated with Mycryo butter or in the fat of your choice, 2 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange the chops on an ovenproof tray, alternating slices of lemon, tomato and onion, and sprinkle with the prepared mixture.
- Bake for around 5 minutes.
- Serve with rice and sautéed vegetables.
