Grilled pork chops with lemon and maple

GRILLED PORK CHOPS WITH LEMON AND MAPLE

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking : 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) maple syrup
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 sprig thyme, leaves removed
  • 4 Québec pork chops
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
  • 1 lemon, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to broil.
  2. In a bowl, combine maple syrup, garlic and thyme.
  3. In a hot skillet, sear chops coated with Mycryo butter or in the fat of your choice, 2 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Arrange the chops on an ovenproof tray, alternating slices of lemon, tomato and onion, and sprinkle with the prepared mixture.
  5. Bake for around 5 minutes.
  6. Serve with rice and sautéed vegetables.
