Spanish Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp) olive oil
  • 18 shrimp 31/40
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) dried oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 125 ml (½ cup) white wine
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) paprika
  • 125 ml (½ cup)35% cream
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp) fresh parsley leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a hot pan, brown the onion and pepper in a little oil. Add salt and pepper, remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, brown the shrimp, oregano and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the prepared mixture and deglaze with white wine.
  3. Add the cream, paprika, parsley, salt and pepper. Check the seasoning.
  4. Serve with slices of lightly toasted bread.
