Carrot Waffles

Gaufres aux carottes

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 eggs
  • 75 ml (5 tbsp) melted butter
  • 250 ml (1 cup) flour
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) baking powder
  • 400 ml (1 2/3 cups) milk
  • 250 ml (1 cup) carrots, grated
  • 250 ml (1 cup) potatoes, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, using a whisk, mix the eggs and butter.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder, salt.
  3. Gradually incorporate the milk.
  4. When the dough is smooth, add the carrots, potatoes and mix.
  5. Preheat the waffle iron.
  6. In the hot waffle iron, pour a ladle of dough, cook until browned.
  7. Repeat this until there is no more dough.
