Leg of lamb 7 hours with boursin cuisine

7-HOUR LEG OF LAMB WITH BOURSIN CUISINE

Portions : 6 to 8 - Preparation : 20 minutes - Cooking time : 7 hours

Ingredients

  • 1 leg of lamb, bone in
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 12 cocktail tomatoes
  • 1.5 kg (3 lbs) Grelot potatoes, halved
  • 1 jar Boursin cuisine Garlic & Herbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 140° C (275° F).
  2. Brush leg of lamb with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the leg of lamb directly on the middle rack of the oven.
  4. In a large dish, add 500 ml (2 cups) of water and place the dish on the rack under the leg to catch the meat juices.
  5. Bake for 5 hours.
  6. Meanwhile, cut the vegetables into quarters. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. After 5 hours, place the vegetables in the oven dish.
  8. Remove the leg from the oven and brush with Boursin. Bake for a further 2 hours.
  9. Serve slices of leg of lamb with the baked vegetables.
