Grilled lentils and sausages

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 to 8 Italian pork sausages
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 250 ml (1 cup) red wine
  • 1 l (4 cups) cooked green lentils, canned
  • 250 ml (1 cup) tomato sauce
  • 250 ml (1 cup) chicken broth
  • ½ bunch parsley, leaves removed, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, brown the onion and sausages in the fat of your choice.
  2. Add the garlic and bacon and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add the wine and reduce until almost dry.
  4. Add the lentils, tomato sauce, broth and cook covered for 30 minutes. Check the seasoning.
  5. Add the parsley and serve.
