Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) maple syrup
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) flour
- 3 ml (1/2 tsp.) baking powder
- 1 lemon, zest
- 1 pinch salt
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) vanilla extract
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) milk
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) 35% cream
- 8 apples
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) sugar
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 190°C (375°F).
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, maple syrup, flour, baking powder, zest, pinch of salt and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually stir in milk and cream.
- Using a vegetable peeler, make apple ribbons. Roll each ribbon around itself to form a rosette.
- Place the apple rosettes in 4 ramekins, spread with the prepared mixture, sprinkle with sugar and bake for 30-35 minutes.
