Ingredients
- 454 g (1 lb) ground Québec turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) herbes de Provence blend
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 75 ml (5 tbsp.) 35% cream
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) nutmeg, ground
- 250 ml (1 cup) chestnuts (canned), crushed
- 1 slab pure butter puff pastry (store-bought)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 190°C (375°F).
- In a hot skillet, brown the meat, onion and herbes de Provence in olive oil until browned.
- Add garlic, cream, nutmeg, chestnuts, salt and pepper and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
- On work surface, cut puff pastry into 4“ x 4” squares.
- On each square, spread the prepared mixture and fold the pastry into a triangle.
- Using a fork, crush the edges to ensure they stick together.
- Place triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, and bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
