Oeuf cocotte au gratin

EGG CASSEROLE AU GRATIN

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking : 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 250 ml (1 cup) mushrooms or artichokes in oil
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp
  • 4 pieces baguette, toasted (1' thick)
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) chives, snipped
  • 4 eggs
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) 35% cream
  • 250 ml (1 cup) gruyère cheese, grated
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200° C (400° F).
  2. Drain mushrooms of oil.
  3. Chop the bacon.
  4. In each ramekin or Masson pot, place 1 crouton of bread, spread the mushrooms and chives, break an egg and spread the cream on top, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Finally, spread the cheese over the top and bake for 20 minutes.
