EGG CASSEROLE AU GRATIN
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking : 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) mushrooms or artichokes in oil
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp
- 4 pieces baguette, toasted (1' thick)
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) chives, snipped
- 4 eggs
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) 35% cream
- 250 ml (1 cup) gruyère cheese, grated
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200° C (400° F).
- Drain mushrooms of oil.
- Chop the bacon.
- In each ramekin or Masson pot, place 1 crouton of bread, spread the mushrooms and chives, break an egg and spread the cream on top, season with salt and pepper.
- Finally, spread the cheese over the top and bake for 20 minutes.
