Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) ham, diced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) maple syrup
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) herbes de Provence blend
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) 35% cream
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) white balsamic vinegar
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) grated Parmesan cheese
- 6 basil leaves, chopped
- 4 portions cooked pasta
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a hot frying pan, brown the ham and onion in olive oil for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, maple syrup and herbes de Provence and sauté for a further 2 minutes.
- Add the cream and vinegar. Check seasoning.
- Add the pasta and let it finish cooking in the sauce.
- Before serving, add the Parmesan and basil.
