Seafood BBQ Pizza

Ingredients

Seafood

  • 1/2 bag cooked and shelled mussels (or clams)
  • 1 cup 34/40 shelled shrimp (or small scallops)
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Pizza

  • 4 pizza dough balls, homemade or store-bought
  • 8 tbsp sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 1 cup arugula
  • Olive oil, to taste
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat the BBQ to maximum heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the garlic, paprika, chili flakes, tomato paste, olive oil, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Coat the shrimp with the mixture, then grill for 2 minutes on each side. Set aside.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough and place each on the hot grill for 45 seconds, until one side is firm and golden.
  5. Remove from the grill, spread sour cream on the cooked side, top with shrimp, mussels, and place the pizzas back on the grill for 5 minutes in indirect heat with the lid closed.
  6. Garnish with arugula, drizzle with olive oil, and enjoy.
