TURKEY BREAST LACQUERED WITH SRIRACHA AND BBQ
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 25 to 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) sugar
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) soy sauce
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) Sriracha hot sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped ginger
- 4 tbsp sesame oil
- ½ whole turkey breast, boneless and skinless
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat the BBQ to maximum.
- In a bowl, form a paste by mixing together the sugar, soy sauce, sriracha, garlic, ginger and sesame oil.
- Using a knife, cut the breast into a wallet shape.
- Brush the mixture over the inside and outside of the brisket, then season with salt and pepper.
- Place the brisket on the BBQ grill and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, while brushing the brisket with the remaining marinade. Continue cooking over indirect heat, with the lid closed, for around 20 minutes or until an internal temperature of 75°C (167°F) is reached.
