Pulled pork

Ingredients

  • 1 Québec pork shoulder (about 2kg)
  • 1 l (4 cups) vegetable broth
  • 1 l (4 cups) apple juice
  • 500 ml (2 cups) BBQ sauce
  • 3 lemons, sliced
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 90 ml (6 tbsp) soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. Place pork shoulder in a roasting pan, add apple juice, broth, barbecue sauce, lemons, onions and soy sauce, cover and bake for 6 hours.
  3. Let cool, then shred the meat.
  4. Reserve the cooking juices for moistening the meat later, if you reheat it.
