Ingredients
- 1 chicken, cut into 4 pieces
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) flour
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) butter
- 250 ml (1 cup) onion, chopped
- 500 ml (2 cups) squash, cubed
- 250 ml (1 cup) white wine
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) turmeric powder
- 250 ml (1 cup) celery, sliced
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) thyme, leaves removed
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) Sriracha hot sauce
- 1 lemon, juice
- 1l (4 cups) chicken broth
- 4 portions cooked pasta
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper and coat with flour.
- In a hot casserole dish, sear chicken pieces in butter. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sear the onion and squash.
- Return the chicken pieces to the pan and deglaze with white wine.
- Add the garlic, turmeric, celery, thyme, hot sauce, lemon and stock and cook, covered, over medium heat for 25 minutes. Check seasoning.
- Serve with pasta.
