PHILI STEAK FRIED RICE

Ingredients
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
- 350 g (12 1/2 oz) beef, rendered
- 2 green peppers, finely julienned
- 500 ml (2 cups) white mushrooms, sliced
- ½ homestyle chicken stock cube
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) soy sauce
- 45 ml (3 tbsp.) Worcestershire sauce
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) water
- 2 pinches cayenne pepper
- 4 portions cooked rice
- 250 ml (1 cup) cheddar cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat the oven, with the rack in the middle on broil.
- In a hot skillet, sauté the onion in the fat of your choice for 2 minutes.
- Add the meat and brown for a few minutes.
- Add the peppers, mushrooms, broth, soy and Worcestershire sauce, water and cayenne pepper, and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the rice and stir. Check seasoning.
- Divide the mixture between individual gratin dishes, cover with cheese and bake for 2 minutes.
