Fried rice, rapini and beef

Ingredients

1 bunch of rapini

454 gr (1 lb) beef fondue meat

60 ml (4 tbsp) oil

60 ml (4 tbsp) sesame oil

1 red pepper, julienned

1 onion, chopped

4 portions of cooked jasmine rice

30 ml (2 tbsp) honey

15 ml (1 tbsp) Sambal Oelek or Sriracha hot sauce

60 ml (4 tbsp) soy sauce

2 cloves of garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

In a pot of boiling salted water, blanch the rapini for 3 minutes. Then transfer to a bowl of ice water, drain and roughly chop the rapini.

In a hot pan, brown all the slices of meat in the oil, 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until nicely colored. Salt, pepper and set aside.

In the same pan, add the sesame oil, pepper, onion and brown everything for 2 minutes.

Add the rice and let it lightly brown at the bottom of the pan.

Add the honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, garlic and let it all sauté.

Add the rapini, beef, mix and check the seasoning.

NB: Pieces of omelette or other sautéed vegetables can be added to the rice.
