Dessert sushi roll

DESSERT SUSHI ROLL

Portions : 4 - Preparation time : 20 to 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter
  • 1.5 l (6 cups) mini marshmallows
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoons) vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 500 ml (2 cups) cereal of your choice
  • 1 l (4 cups) Rice Krispies

Toppings

  • Chopped fruit (apple, banana, mango, etc.)
  • Spreads / nuts
  • Candies / liquorice / jujubes
  • Sushi soy leaves

Preparation

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add the marshmallows and, while stirring, let them melt.
  3. Stir in the vanilla and salt, then remove from the heat and add the cereal of your choice and the Rice Krispies.
  4. On a buttered baking sheet, pour and spread the mixture.
  5. Leave to cool to room temperature.
  6. Place the mixture on the work surface. Using a rolling pin, thin to ¼ inch.
  7. Cut into 6 x 6" squares.
  8. Place the filling(s) of your choice on each square.
  9. Roll up each square, then cut each roll to sushi size.
  10. Decorate and serve.
  11. If you have soy leaves, use them like the seaweed leaves, to wrap the rolls like sushi.
