Ingredients
- 2 tomatoes, cut in 2
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) olive oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into 4
- 16 to 20 thin slices roast turkey
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) MTL spice blend
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) honey
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) hoisin sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 to 8 sandwich buns
- 250 ml (1 cup) grated cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a hot frying pan, brown the tomatoes in the oil for 4 to 5 minutes, then season with salt and pepper, remove and set aside.
- Fry the bell bell pepper quarters for 4 to 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, remove and set aside.
- In the same hot pan, sear the turkey slices and onion.
- Add the MTL spices, honey, hoisin sauce and garlic and sauté for a further 2 minutes.
- Divide the tomatoes, quartered peppers, meat and cheese between the sandwich buns.
