QC Roast Beef Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1 Québec beef cross-rib roast
- 3 onions, chopped
- 1 beef bouillon cube or 2 tablespoons beef bouillon concentrate
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons horseradish
- 1 lb melted butter
- 375ml dark beer
Sandwich :
- 4 sandwich loaves
- 4 to 8 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- Qs Mayonnaise
- Qs strong mustard
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 325F
- In a small roasting pan or casserole.
- Add beer, butter, horseradish, onion, garlic, syrup and bouillon cube.
- Cover and bake for 6 hours.
- Shred the meat. Remove onions.
- Top sandwiches with mayonnaise and mustard, add meat and cheese.
