MAC AND CHEESE AND SALAMI SANDWICH
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 20 minutes - Cooking time : about 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 8 slices white bread
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) butter
- 2 portions mac and cheese, still warm and creamy
- 16 slices salami
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) basil pesto
- 4 slices sharp cheddar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a hot frying pan, brown the pepperoni for 2-3 minutes until crisp.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of 4 slices of bread, spread the pesto, spread the mac and cheese, cheese and salami and on top, place the remaining 4 slices of bread, buttered side up, to close the sandwiches.
- In a hot frying pan, brown the sandwiches over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
