BEEF SATAY
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 6 minutes
Ingredients
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) fish sauce
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) soy sauce
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) brown sugar
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) canola oil
- Olek Sambal Pepper puree to taste
- ½ lime, juice
- 500 gr (17 oz) beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 60 gr (¼ cup) crushed peanuts
- ½ bunch coriander, leaves removed, chopped
- Pepper to taste
Sauce
- 250 ml (1 cup) coconut milk
- 125 g (½ cup) peanut butter
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) mild Madras curry
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) brown sugar
- ½ lime, juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, canola oil, chili paste and lime juice.
- Coat flank steak slices with mixture.
- Thread onto wooden skewers.
- In a hot pan or on a grill, brown the beef skewers for 3 minutes on each side.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, using a hand-held blender, blend all the ingredients for the sauce.
- Once the meat is cooked, serve it with a little sauce on the side and some good white rice.
