Creamy bacon and pea sauce

Serves : 4

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time : 8 to 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) chicken broth
  • 250 ml (1 cup) cream
  • 250 ml (1 cup) frozen green peas
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 pinch herbes de Provence blend
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) white balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Chop the bacon on the work surface.
  2. In a hot skillet, sauté bacon and onion until browned.
  3. Add the stock, cream, peas, garlic, herbes de Provence and vinegar, and allow to thicken slightly.
  4. Check the seasoning.
