POMODORO SAUCE
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking : 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) carrot, grated
- 90 ml (6 tablespoons) olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) herbes de Provence blend
- 625 ml (2 ½ cups) tomato coulis
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chili pepper to taste
Topping
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small ball mozzarella
Preparation
- In a hot skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion and carrot in olive oil for 3 minutes.
- Add the garlic and herbes de Provence and cook for a further 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the tomato coulis and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Check seasoning.
