Shrimp and vegetable stir-fry

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time : 6 to 8 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 head broccoli, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, julienned
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) canola oil
  • 24 shrimp 31/40, shelled
  • 250 ml (1 cup) vegetable stock
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • 1 lime, juice
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) soy sauce
  • 30 mL (2 tbsp.) sugar
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp)sesame oil
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) hot sauce (Sambal Oelek)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 portions cooked egg noodles
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a hot skillet, sauté broccoli and peppers in canola oil for 2 minutes.
  2. Add shrimp and continue cooking over high heat for 2 minutes.
  3. Deglaze with broth, then add lemon and lime juice, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, hot sauce, garlic and reduce slightly.
  4. Add the cooked noodles and check the seasoning.
