Braised short ribs

Ingredients

  • 4 Quebec beef shorts ribs
  • 2 cups beet cubes
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 tablespoons MTl steak spices
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 2 l beef broth
  • 500 ml dark beer
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Topping:

  • 4 portions wheat semolina
  • 4 portions green vegetables (peas, beans, etc.)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 300F
  2. Place meat in a rotisserie, add broth, onion, garlic, pepper, black beer, honey, beets, vinegar and steak spices.
  3. Cover and cook for 5 hours.
  4. Adjust seasoning.
  5. Divide the semolina between the plates. Add meat, green vegetables and cover with cooking juices.
