Mealtime soup with Asian broth and thinly sliced beef

MEAL SOUP WITH ASIAN BROTH AND THIN SLICES OF BEEF

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 20 minutes - Cooking : 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 portions rice noodles
  • 2 l (8 cups) beef broth
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) ginger, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) Chinese five-spice blend
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) soy sauce
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) Sambal Oelek hot sauce
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 400 gr (13 1/2 oz) fondue meat, thinly sliced
  • 500 ml (2 cups) bean sprouts
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • ½ bunch coriander, leaves removed, chopped

Preparation

  1. Soak the rice noodles in plenty of cold water for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, bring the stock to the boil, add the ginger, garlic, 5-spice mix, soy sauce, Sambal Oelek, onion and cook for 20 minutes. Check the seasoning.
  3. Meanwhile, drain the noodles.
  4. Divide the noodles, beef slices, bean sprouts, green onion and coriander between the bowls, add the hot broth and serve.
