Ingredients
- 500 ml (2 cups) tempeh, finely chopped
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) olive oil
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) tomato paste
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 500 ml (2 cups) tomato coulis
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) herbes de Provence blend
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) MTL steak spice blend
- 4 portions cooked spaghetti
- 8 to 10 basil leaves, chopped
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a saucepan, sauté tempeh in olive oil for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the tomato paste and garlic and continue cooking for 2 minutes.
- Add tomato coulis, herbes de Provence, steak spices and simmer for 20 minutes. Check seasoning.
- Serve pasta drizzled with sauce and sprinkled with basil and Parmesan.
