SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE WITH TEMPEH

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking : 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 500 ml (2 cups) tempeh, finely chopped
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) tomato paste
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 500 ml (2 cups) tomato coulis
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) herbes de Provence blend
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) MTL steak spice blend
  • 4 portions cooked spaghetti
  • 8 to 10 basil leaves, chopped
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, sauté tempeh in olive oil for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the tomato paste and garlic and continue cooking for 2 minutes.
  3. Add tomato coulis, herbes de Provence, steak spices and simmer for 20 minutes. Check seasoning.
  4. Serve pasta drizzled with sauce and sprinkled with basil and Parmesan.
