MEXICAN-STYLE SIRLOIN STEAK
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 15 minutes - Marinade : 5 minutes - Cooking time : about 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) lime juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) chili powder
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) fresh coriander, chopped
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) olive oil
- 4 sirloin steaks, each about 180 g
- salt and pepper to taste
Side dish
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
- 1 pinch oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the lime juice, garlic, chili, coriander and olive oil. Add the meat and marinate for 5 minutes.
- In a hot frying pan, over medium heat, sear the meat for 3 minutes on each side. Continue cooking if necessary.
- Meanwhile, in another hot pan over high heat, sauté the onion, garlic and peppers in the fat of your choice. Cook for 2 minutes, then add the oregano and check the seasoning.
