ASIAN PORK STEAKS
Portions : 4 to 6 - Preparation : 15 minutes - Cooking : 6 to 8 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Canola oil 60 ml
- 2 tbsp each Rice vinegar and soy sauce: 30 ml each
- 4 Green onions, finely chopped
- 4, 5 oz each Québec Pork inside round steaks, 2 cm (3/4 in.) thick: 4, 150 g each
- Salt and freshly ground pepper: to taste
- 1 cup sliced coffee mushrooms: 250 ml
- 1/2 cup Bouillon (poultry or beef): 125 ml
- 2 tsp. cornstarch, diluted in a little broth: 10 ml
Preparation
- Mix 45 ml (3 tbsp.) oil with rice vinegar, soy sauce and green onion. Add pork slices and coat well. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 h (maximum 12 h).
- Heat remaining oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Cook steaks for 6-8 min, reserving used marinade. Turn once halfway through cooking. Season with salt after cooking. Remove from pan, cover and keep warm.
- In the same pan, sauté the mushrooms for 2 min. Add the reserved marinade and bring to the boil.
- Add the stock and simmer for 5 min. Stir in the cornstarch and allow to thicken over low heat.
