Tagliatelle with shrimp and grilled lemon

Ingredients

  • 2 lemons, halved
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 24 shrimp 16/20, peeled
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) mild smoked paprika
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 lemons, lees
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) honey
  • 125 ml (½ cup) 35% cream
  • 125 ml (½ cup) vegetable stock
  • 500 ml (2 cups) cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) parsley leaves, chopped
  • 4 portions cooked pasta
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a hot grill pan or non-stick skillet, over medium heat, toast the lemon halves in olive oil for 4 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in the hot pan, sear the shrimps for 1 minute on each side.
  3. Add paprika, onion, garlic, lemon juice, honey, cream and stock. Check seasoning.
  4. Add tomatoes, parsley, cooked pasta and toss. The sauce should coat the pasta.
  5. Serve with grilled lemons, to be squeezed before serving.
