Strawberry and mascarpone tart

STRAWBERRY AND MASCARPONE TART

Portions : 4 - Preparation time : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 8- or 9-inch tart shell
  • 500 ml (2 cups) mascarpone cheese
  • 75 ml (5 tablespoons) Amaretto
  • 90 ml (6 tablespoons) sugar
  • 1 lemon, zest
  • 1 punnet Quebec strawberries, rinsed and hulled
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) whole, unsalted pistachios
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) powdered sugar

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Place the tart shell in a tart pan. Prick pastry with a fork and bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow pastry to cool.
  3. Meanwhile, whisk together the mascarpone, Amaretto, sugar and lemon zest in a bowl.
  4. Fill the tart base with the prepared cream and arrange the strawberries on top, sprinkle with pistachios and powdered sugar.
