Ingredients
- 125 ml (½ cup) pecans
- 2 pieces baguette bread, 5'' long, cut in half
- 8 thick, rectangular slices of double-cream Brie cheese
- 4 figs, quartered
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) honey
- Fleur de sel and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
- In a hot skillet, roast pecans for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Place 2 slices of brie on each piece of bread.
- Place the bread slices on an ovenproof baking sheet lined with a silicone mat and bake for 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and place the pecans, figs and a touch of honey on top of the Brie slices.
- Add a little fleur de sel and pepper.
NB: A goat's cheese or a creamy blue cheese are good options to replace the Brie.
